Recycle

Let's be fair to our poor Earth!
Time has come for all of us to take part in 'helping' our ailing earth. Let's do our bits.

Recycle is such a simple word. In fact, it's been said, broadcasted, advertised, mentioned, etc. almost daily by most of us. But have we done enough to "practise what we preached"? Cliche, aye?

At Toko.Raya, we noticed, some of our good friends are throwing away their old clothes, old books, DVDs, etc. despite being in good conditions. Their typical excuses are... "I need space for my new books"... "Why keep old DVDs...? I watched them once, and that's enough!"

Madu Tualang

Madu Tualang - Honey of the Rainforest.

"Madu Tualang" or "Tualang Honey" is a type of honey extracted from combs collected from a giant rainforest tree called Tualang. The honeybees are called "Lebah Tualang" or "Tualang Bees" or "Apis Dorsata".

Madu Tualang is said to be the finest honey in the world and it is rich in nutritional properties.

Some of the benefits are:

1. Maintain lower cholesterol
2. Enhance male libido
3. Promote faster healing of wounds
4. Enhance energy - ie. eliminate fatigue
5. Improve appetite
6. Boost immune system
7. Reduce threat of lung infection and cough

... and list goes on...

Madu Tualang from Toko.Raya is naturally extracted and collected from the Rainforest of Malaysia and no chemicals nor metal utensils are used in all its processes even up to bottling. It is said, honey should never be mixed, or in contact with any metal-made equipment. As such, it is advised, not to take your daily intake of honey using your metal spoon. It is highly recommended to use either a plastic-based spoon or if you like to be having it with style, you may use a nice china-bone or porceline spoon. We have yet to study the rationale behind this (scientifically, that is). Nonetheless, there's no harm to stick to this "old belief" and to use your fine china spoon when taking a sip of your precious honey. Afterall a good honey itself is said to be a "syrup of gold" not only it is slightly pricey than your ordinary off-shelved honey, but it is also rich in properties and "gold" in colour!
